SkillBridge
SkillBridge Initiative: Empowering Youth through Tech & Opportunity
Launched by the For Zgharta Association, SkillBridge is a youth-centric initiative dedicated to bridging the gap between local talent and the global economy. Building on our proud track record of organizing the Zgharta Job Fair for two consecutive years, we have successfully connected hundreds of young people with tangible employment opportunities.
However, looking at the rapidly shifting global landscape, we know that finding a job tomorrow requires mastering the tools of today. That is why SkillBridge is launching its most ambitious project yet: “500 People to Learn AI for Free.” This groundbreaking program is designed to take high-quality, practical Artificial Intelligence education out of centralized tech hubs and bring it directly into the heart of our towns and villages. By establishing decentralized, community-driven learning hubs across the region, we are giving rural youth, students, and aspiring professionals free access to the skills that will define the future of work. From understanding the basics of machine learning to navigating the ethical boundaries and digital rights surrounding AI, SkillBridge ensures that our community isn’t just watching the tech revolution happen—we are leading it.
Objectives
Cultivate a Community of Innovators: Transform local village hubs into collaborative spaces where young people can network, brainstorm, and launch their own tech-driven projects or startups to uplift the local economy.
Democratize Tech Access: Break down geographical and financial barriers by providing world-class AI education completely free of charge to 500 individuals directly within their local villages.
Future-Proof the Local Workforce: Equip the youth of Zgharta and surrounding regions with high-demand AI skills, enhancing their employability for remote, regional, and international markets.
Bridge the Rural-Urban Divide: Build sustainable digital infrastructure and educational touchpoints in rural hubs, proving that cutting-edge innovation does not belong exclusively to capital cities.
Foster Critical & Responsible Tech Usage: Ensure the curriculum goes beyond simple technical mechanics, training participants to understand algorithmic biases, data privacy, and the ethical implications of AI in society.
