Second Annual Job Fair Draws Over 2,000 Job Seekers to Tripoli

SkillBridge Sparks Hope in North Lebanon

In a resounding testament to the resilience and ambition of North Lebanon’s youth, the SkillBridge initiative successfully hosted its second consecutive Job Fair on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Held at the historic Al Rabita Al Sakafiya in Tripoli, the landmark event brought together thousands of eager job seekers and leading employers, solidifying SkillBridge’s role as a vital economic lifeline for the region.

The event was launched by the For Zgharta Association in a powerful tripartite collaboration with the Scow Association and the Koulouna Ahl Association. By uniting their networks, the three organizations transformed the venue into a bustling hub of economic opportunity and professional networking.

A Gateway to New Horizons

This year’s fair saw an impressive turnout, welcoming around 2,000 visitors throughout the day. From fresh university graduates to skilled professionals looking to pivot their careers, attendees navigated a diverse marketplace of opportunities.

The exhibition floor hosted 25 prominent companies and recruitment agencies, spanning sectors from technology and manufacturing to services and retail. For young people facing an incredibly challenging local job market, the fair provided a rare and invaluable chance to interview directly with hiring managers, submit resumes, and secure concrete leads for local and remote employment.

Opening Ceremony: A Shared Vision for the Youth

The event kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony hosted by the elegant Mirna Atrach, who welcomed attendees and set an optimistic tone for the day. A series of powerful keynote speeches from the initiative’s leadership highlighted a unified commitment to youth empowerment and regional development:

  • Pierre Douaihy, Founder of the For Zgharta Association, emphasized the core philosophy behind SkillBridge, speaking passionately about the necessity of investing in human capital as the ultimate force capable of reviving the country.
  • Jad Chami, President of the Scow Association.
  • MP Adib Abdel Massih, Member of Parliament and President of the Koulouna Ahl Association.

From Employment to the Future of Work

The overwhelming success of the Tripoli Job Fair marks a triumphant milestone for SkillBridge, but the initiative’s leadership is already looking toward the horizon. Building on the momentum of connecting 2,000 youth to immediate jobs, SkillBridge is rapidly pivoting to future-proof the local workforce.
